How to Apply for Access

The procedure shall ensure that transfer and treatment of the material are carried out in accordance with applicable regulations and necessary approvals as well as the purpose of the research biobank. Read the procedure in the quality system here: eHandboken. Anyone who submits material is obliged to follow this procedure.

Application for access of human biological material from OUS must be approved by the Responsible Person. Application form can be downloaded here: skjema for tilgang til biobankmateriale

The application will be considered by the Responsible Manager and for general biobanks by an advisory board or a steering committee. This form is meant as a tool for the Responsible Manager to keep an overview of projects using the biobank. There is also a disclosure statement (utleveringserklæring) that should be signed before transfer.

If there is doubt about access or use of the material, there is a Biobank and Registry Advisory Board at OUS which may be consulted.
